Qualified candidates will join our team at our headquarters in Centennial, CO. This role will be hybrid (4 days in-office) after in-office training.

Responsibilities

As a Payroll Administrator at FAST, you will play a critical role in managing payroll processes and ensuring accuracy and compliance across the organization. Your responsibilities will include: 

  • Payroll Management: 
  • Oversee the preparation, documentation, distribution, and reconciliation of domestic and international payrolls for employees across multiple jurisdictions. 
  • Audit timesheets and expense claims. 
  • Calculate and record payroll deductions and taxable benefits. 
  • Auditing and Compliance: 
  • Conduct regular payroll audits to ensure accuracy and compliance with federal, state, and international regulations, as well as adherence to company policies. 
  • Stay up to date on payroll legislation and labor laws, implementing changes to maintain compliance. 
  • Reporting and Analysis: 
  • Generate ad hoc and custom reports tailored to the needs of internal and external stakeholders, including leadership and auditors. 
  • Complete state labor surveys and requests for verification of employment and income. 
  • Collaborate with finance and HR teams to reconcile payroll data with accounting and financial records. 
  • Employee Support and Communication: 
  • Serve as the primary contact for payroll-related inquiries, providing timely and accurate information to employees and management. 
  • Educate employees on payroll policies, tax forms, and self-service tools to improve their understanding and engagement. 
  • Documentation and Process Improvement: 
  • Document payroll procedures in a clear and concise manner to ensure consistency and accuracy across the organization. 
  • Continuously identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce errors. 
  • Collaboration and Special Projects: 
  • Partner with HR, IT, and Finance teams to support cross-functional projects and system implementations. 
  • Contribute to organizational initiatives by providing payroll-related insights and participating in special projects as needed. 

Qualifications

  • Associate's or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field. 
  • 2–4 years of professional experience in Payroll, Accounting, Human Resources, or a related field. 
  • Familiarity with ADP WorkforceNow, Lyric, or Celergo (preferred). 
  • FPC certification (strongly preferred). 
  • International payroll experience, including knowledge of tax treaties and foreign payroll systems (a plus). 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel (e.g., VLOOKUP, PivotTables). 
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. 
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changes in a fast-paced environment. 
  • High level of interpersonal skills to handle confidential information professionally. 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 
  • Ability to prioritize competing demands, manage stressful situations, and maintain a professional disposition. 
  • Ability to work in a team environment while responding effectively to management direction and feedback.
