We have expanded beyond Tax and now also perform implementations for Motor Vehicle, Driver License, Unemployment Insurance, and Child Support Engagement agencies.

Responsibilities

As the Graphic Design Team Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of FAST graphic design, managing the day-to-day output of the graphics and video teams, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality visual content that aligns with FAST’s branding guidelines and objectives.

 

The ideal candidate must possess advanced creative skills and a keen sense of design along with organizational skills that are as strong as your eye for consistency, quality, and finer details.

 

Your responsibilities will include performing, leading, and managing the following:

  • Creating Visual Assets: Design engaging, meaningful graphics, layouts, and materials for print and digital platforms, including branding, brochures, websites, presentations, social media, and event collateral.  
  • Collaborating with Teams: Work closely with marketing, recruitment, and client teams to understand goals and translate them into impactful designs.  
  • Website & Digital Media Support: Assist in maintaining web content, working with HTML, CSS, and WordPress to implement design updates.  
  • Multimedia Projects: Support video and motion graphics creation using After Effects, Premiere, or other tools as needed.  
  • Innovating & Adapting: Stay current with design trends and technologies, bringing fresh ideas to the table to keep our materials engaging and relevant 
  • Stewarding the Brand: Approach creative challenges with a systems mindset and anticipate the broader implications of design decisions on the overarching brand ecosystem.
  • Managing & Mentoring: Motivate and inspire a team of designers and lead them to take their designs to the next level by providing guidance and effective feedback. 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts, Graphic Design, Visual Communication or a related field. Minimum GPA 3.2. 
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience as a designer for in-house communications department (most preferred), a branding agency, or design firm with at least 1-2 years experience managing designers or creatives. 
  • A diverse portfolio demonstrating brand identity, campaign development, digital assets, and multi-channel creative. Motion graphics and video production is a plus. 
  • Expert in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop). Experience with After Effects, Premiere, and Dreamweaver is a plus.  
  • Experience with HTML, CSS, WordPress , email marketing systems, digital and social marketing, UX, and accessibility concepts. 
  • Demonstrated understanding of layout, typography, photography, color theory and composition, motion design, photography, illustration, and UX principles. 
  • Knowledge of printing processes and specifications and experience working with printers and suppliers. 
  • Ability to articulate the rationale behind design decisions and to navigate subjective feedback and provide constructive feedback to team members. 
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to think strategically to overcome design challenges. 
  • Demonstrated ability to juggle multiple projects and coordinate project workflows and communications in a dynamic environment with tight deadlines and shifting priorities while maintaining a customer service focus 
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with the appropriate discretion. 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
