Responsibilities

We are seeking an experienced Labor & Workforce Industry Expert with deep knowledge of state and federal workforce programs, policies, and best practices. The ideal candidate will have a strong reputation within the workforce industry and a track record of collaborating with State Workforce Agencies to improve program administration. 

 

In this role, you will be responsible for analyzing workforce program needs, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and working closely with technical teams to develop innovative solutions. You will also serve as a key industry liaison, fostering relationships with workforce professionals and understanding best practices in labor programs. 

  • Subject Matter Expert & Technical Collaboration
    • Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) on workforce programs, providing guidance on policy and operational challenges.
    • Collaborate with technical teams to define business requirements for Workforce Agency solutions.
    • Assist in the development and implementation of technical solutions, ensuring alignment with industry best practices and compliance standards.
  • Industry Research & Policy Oversight
    • Conduct ongoing research on state and federal workforce rules, regulations, and program requirements.
    • Ensure software and technology solutions comply with evolving workforce policies and regulatory frameworks.
    • Monitor legislative and regulatory changes, advising internal teams on potential impacts.
  • Documentation & Knowledge Sharing
    • Develop comprehensive documentation on workforce program requirements at both state and federal levels.
    • Create internal resources and best practices to support technical implementations for Workforce Agency clients.
  • Industry Engagement & Relationship Building
    • Maintain and expand relationships with workforce professionals, policymakers, and industry stakeholders.
    • Actively participate in industry groups, advisory boards, and professional organizations.
    • Represent the company at conferences, working groups, and industry events to stay informed of trends and emerging challenges. 

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in labor and workforce programs, including expertise in state and federal workforce policies, program administration, funding structures, and regulatory compliance. 
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (public administration, labor relations, business, or related discipline preferred). 
  • Established industry reputation with active professional relationships within Labor & Workforce Agencies. 
  • Experience collaborating with technical teams to develop and implement workforce program solutions. 
  • Strong research and analytical skills to interpret labor regulations, monitor industry trends, and advise on policy impacts. 
  • Exceptional communication and documentation skills to create clear guidance materials and internal resources. 
  • Demonstrated leadership and engagement in workforce industry groups, advisory boards, or professional organizations. 
  • Ability to travel for meetings, conferences, working groups, and other industry-related events. 
  • Independent and self-motivated work ethic, with strong organizational and decision-making abilities.
