Responsibilities

As a Systems Administrator, you will be a pivotal member of the Fast-Hosting Services Team, playing an essential role in supporting and managing systems to ensure the reliability and dependability of FAST’s Commercial Off-the-Shelf (COTS) solutions.

 

The ideal candidate will bring years of experience in progressively responsible roles supporting Windows domain environments and virtual desktops. A strong candidate will be familiar with Virtual Desktop Infrastructure, Microsoft Group Policy, and IT Service Management (ITSM) systems. Proactive, independent resolution of emerging issues will be crucial for success in this role.

 

To excel, the candidate should have a solid foundation in modern IT systems infrastructure, including VMWare’s Virtualization technologies, Windows Server Operating Systems, and SSO. Additionally, a diverse IT skill set and a willingness to learn new skills are desired. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are necessary. This position may require participation in an on-call rotation outside of normal operating hours. This position is fully in-office based in Centennial, CO as part of FAST’s Hosting Services team.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Handle service requests and provide technical support during business hours.
  • Monitor system performance, apply updates, and troubleshoot issues to maintain optimal functionality.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for incidents and coordinate resolution efforts.
  • Sync with other shifts, coordinate outages, and support IT projects and after-hours maintenance as needed.
  • Work with the security team to mitigate vulnerabilities, ensure compliance, and maintain secure systems.
  • Create and maintain detailed process, technical, and baseline documentation for new and existing systems and processes.

Work Schedule:

  • Flexible, but expected to be approximately 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Mountain Time, Monday through Friday.

Qualifications

Required Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • CompTIA A+ Certification
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in related Systems Administrator role(s)
  • Familiarity with virtualization technologies such as VMware ESXi and vCenter
  • Exposure to Windows server functionality such as Active Directory DNS, DHCP and Group Policy
  • Possess excellent communication and troubleshooting skills

Desired Qualifications:

  • Certifications: VMware, Microsoft, AWS, Azure, CompTIA
  • Experience supporting enterprise applications
