This position is fully in-office based in Centennial, Colorado as part of FAST’s proposal and marketing team. The role includes occasional travel.

Responsibilities

FAST has a full-time opening for a Senior Proposal Manager who has exceptional attention to detail, is a skilled writer and editor, and enjoys the challenges of developing written responses to technology-based government requests for proposals (RFPs). FAST proposal managers lead and support the development of written proposals, sales documents, and marketing materials related to FAST’s software solutions and services. This position plays a role in FAST’s development of new business by:

  • Leading and supporting the development of proposals for government system-modernization projects and services. This includes all aspects of proposal development and management, from initial RFP review and assessment to proposal development and final delivery.
  • Managing proposal organization and cross functional coordination of support resources.
  • Writing clear and effective responses to proposal requirements and editing content drafted by functional and technical experts. Effectively communicating technical, functional, and project information in written format in a manner that resonates with both technical and non-technical readers. 
  • Leading status meetings with key proposal stakeholders.
  • Drafting professional correspondence for communicating with government procurement officials and agency representatives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in technical writing, business, marketing, journalism, or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • At least two years of experience managing proposals for large-scale procurements, preferably for government agencies, or equivalent experience.
  • Excellent writing and editing skills with methodical attention to detail.
  • Adept at critical thinking, the identification of customer key issues, and the development of strategic messaging.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to simultaneously manage multiple tasks and communication channels.
  • Enthusiastic and self-motivated with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Highly skilled in the use of Microsoft Office suite.
  • This full-time, in-office position requires intermittent travel (approximately four to six times per year).
